Marcia P. Taborga, Ph.D.
Background
Marcia P. Taborga, Ph.D., is experienced in psychotherapy with, and assessment of children, adolescents, and families. She received specialized training with divorcing families at Arizona State Universitys Prevention Intervention Research Center with Professor Sandy Braver. Dr. Taborga is currently a clinical psychology doctoral student from Arizona State University. Dr. Taborga has also obtained specialized training in the evaluation and treatment of children with anxiety disorders from UCLA NPIs Childhood Anxiety, OCD, and Tourettes Disorder Clinic. Dr. Taborga recently completed a year-long internship at Saint Johns Child and Family Development Center in Santa Monica where she provided brief and long-term therapy, psychological evaluations, and consultation, in English and Spanish, to children ranging from 3 to 18 years old. With Lund & Strachan, Inc., Dr. Taborga will be conducting educational groups, including parent education groups and coping skills groups for children of divorce.
Clinical Services Provided
Dr. Taborgas practice is devoted to assisting adults, children and families with pre- and post-divorce issues. She provides individual and family therapy for children and couples. She also provides parenting classes for separated and divorced parents. Dr. Taborga is a registered psychological assistant working under the supervision of Dr. Angus Strachan.
